Props to Frontline

Even look-back pieces can use investigative techniques to deepen a story and make it more authoritative.

PBS’ “Frontline” does some of the finest in-depth television reporting around (it has won 39 Emmys over its 26-year history), and its coverage of the financial meltdown has been among the best among broadcast journalists. This recap offers a brief overview of some of its coverage.
